Dear Mr B

Freedom of Information Request

I have been passed your email in connection with the Freedom of
Information request that you have made below.

I have reviewed the process and your request.  We apologise for the delay
in your response, this was owing to a period of annual leave which
resulted in difficulty in providing a response.  This has now been
remedied by use of dual points of contact.

Having considered your request I have attached the current management
structure for the 2015/16 academic year.  We are unable to disclose to you
all the names for the individuals specified in the structure chart as
disclosure would breach the first Data Protection Principle.  Where the
post holders have strategic responsibilities and are already known in the
public domain their details have been included in the structure chart.

Section 40(2) for the purposes of section 40(3) (a) (i) provides an
exemption for information which is the personal data of any third party,
where disclosure would contravene any of the data protection principles
contained in the DPA.  The Group’s position is that there is no legitimate
interest in disclosing the names of the management tier beneath the
Strategic Leadership Team as they are not responsible for projects and
policies which are sufficiently high profile to merit a public interest in
knowing their identities. It would therefore
be unfair to disclose their names and a breach of the 1st Data Protection
Principle.

If you are not content with the outcome of the internal review, you have
the right to apply directly to the Information Commissioner for a
decision. The Information Commissioner can be contacted at: Information
Commissioner's Office, Wycliffe House, Water Lane, Wilmslow, Cheshire, SK9
5AF.

Yours sincerely

Hull College Group
