The Commission aims to respond to requests for information promptly and

to answer you request, however, in order to do so, we are seeking
clarification of your request.

You requested:

The collated responses from local authorities to the Electoral Commission

Your request for information is very broad. Could you please clarify what
you mean by 'raw data'.
We hold information relating to the collated responses from all ERO's and

Once your response is received we will deal with your request accordingly.

Dear Bola Ojoye,

Thank you for your reply. I think that, under FOIA, the reply must come within 20 working days of the original request, and that a clarification, such as you sought and I gave, does not reset the clock.

I look forward to receiving the Commission's response by 26 May as stated in your colleague, Michelanne Wilkinson's original email.

Yours sincerely,

R.J. Taylor

27 April 2009. The Commission aims to respond to requests for information
promptly and within the statutory timeframe of twenty working days. Your
request as clarified is in bold below followed by our response.

You originally requested: the collated responses from local authorities to
the Electoral Commission on the self-assessment against the Electoral
Registration Officer performance standards. By this, you referred to the
raw data that was collected in order to put together the report
`Performance standards for Electoral Registration Officers in Great
Britain' (April 2009). You also requested the contents of the `free text
boxes' mentioned in the report.

On 11 May 2009, you clarified that request to be: the spreadsheet with the
collated narrative from the free text boxes and the self assessment rating
each Electoral Registration Officer gave themselves.

The Commission holds this information.

1. The self assessment ratings each ERO gave themselves is available using
an interactive tool on our website at
[1]http://www.electoralcommission.org.uk/pe....

2. Attached is an excel spreadsheet which collates all the narrative
supplied in the free text boxes.

It isn't possible to check the ratings that EROs give themselves through this link!
