Dear Abhirama

I refer to your request for information dated 02 December 2017.

The search for the information has been completed and I am pleased to
supply you with the following information:

You asked: Does the Norfolk Joint Museums and Archaeology collaborate with
new international museums in order to spread the knowledge by exchanging,
or by Sharing or by Long-term leasing the specimens or collectables with
new international museums?

Norfolk Museums Service (NMS) is the joint museums service of Norfolk, led
by Norfolk County Council and supported by the district authorities.

NMS has a collection of c.3 million objects and the majority of the
collections are Designated as of national or international importance.

The work of NMS is focused on the County of Norfolk and the 10 museums in
its direct care.  However, NMS also has a responsibility to support
museums across the East of England in terms of their development and the
maintenance of the Accreditation standard.  This work is supported by Arts
Council England.

NMS works with a range of museums across the UK and beyond.  NMS borrows
from museums internationally, and also lends nationally and
internationally.  Some of these museums are long established and others
have been established more recently.  The attached Annual Review
illustrates some of the key loans in and out of the NMS museums over the
last 12 months (pp18-19).

NMS also works in partnership with many international museums and
organisations on research programmes.  Examples of current partnerships
include Yale University, Connecticut and Carleton College, Minnesota.
