Apart from the overall cost of the light show, could the Council please also supply details of the individuals, organisations or companies to whom money was paid? So how much was paid and to whom?

Dear Mr Lee

I am now able to respond to your Freedom of Information request logged on 2nd November under reference 151102024106.

* The hire of the service to set up projectors and design the light show.
The total budget for the development and implementation of the Light Show was £20,000. This project is part of a year-long programme designed to improve key aspects of Colchester for the benefit of residents, businesses and visitors as part of our overall Strategic Plan.

* Oakpark Security's presence.
The cost of eight security staff for four hours was £480.

* Cost of setting out and putting away branded market stalls for traders.
No additional costs were incurred as this is already accounted for in the Charter Market budget.

* Cost of clearing litter, etc after the event.
In addition to the people usually present when the Charter Market is taken down, an extra two members of staff cleared up after the Light & Shades event at a total cost of £50.

* Any additional costs such as added Police presence, etc.
None.
