Code of practice
Dear The Law Society,
I have viewed the Code of Practice published on behalf of the Law Society.
I would like to understand the remit of the Law Society and how representing the interests of solicitors relates to its regulating role.
I would be grateful if you could explain how objective regulation is maintained with this arrangement.
Yours faithfully,
K. Taylor

The SRA is the independent regulatory body of the Law Society of England

As Information Compliance Manager it is not within my remit to comment on
such matters as how objective regulation is maintained. This is not a
request for information held by the Law Society and cannot therefore be
dealt with under the Society's Freedom of Information Code of Practice.
