Dear Information Requests,
Thank you for your response.
To clarify I do not have a Facebook account - so it was not in the public domain to me.
A public statement should be available to all - not a privileged few of Cllr Millars Facebook followers.
This is a case of Cllr Millar frantically back peddling to justify his very privileged lifestyle as an elected member.
Yours sincerely,
Audrey O'Keefe

I found this...
If you had continued to follow tweets by Cllr Millar, he provided an update on Twitter as well as Facebook on 20 Nov .

Oh dear - you are being tedious - I don't follow Cllr Millar on any form of social media. Cllr Millar is an elected member answerable to the people. I must have hit a nerve if Cllr Millar has a support/friend trying to justify his trips paid for out of public funds.

Dear Liverpool City Council,

Please pass this on to the person who conducts Freedom of Information reviews.

I am writing to request an internal review of Liverpool City Council's handling of my FOI request 'Cllr Millar/Singapore'.

It states 'Steve' purchased Cllr Millars ticket ''who is Steve''
I require proof of ticket purchase.
Who's authorisation did Cllr Millar receive to take this trip - the name of officers - cabinet member - Mayor Anderson - provided documentation i.e. emails etc.,
I require a report setting out the aims of the visit.
All foreign travel must be approved by the lead officer Mayor Anderson etc., can you give me evidence of this emails etc.,
Cllr Millar declared that 'Steve' paid for his ticket if so when did Cllr Millar declare this - as it does not appear on Cllr Millars 'Gifts & Hospitalities

I don't believe this reply was written by Cllr Gary Millar - it is poorly written in words/phrases a politician would not use it reads more like an essay than a response to an FOI

A full history of my FOI request and all correspondence is available on the Internet at this address: https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/c...

Yours faithfully,

Audrey O'Keefe

Dear Information Requests,

Please add this to my internal review.

1. I require an explanation as to why Cllr Millar concluded his FOI with the phrase - Terima kasih banyak .... [a language I can't read]

2. When did LCC change their policy that formal letters can be signed off in a foreign language and not English?

This shows contempt to me, a member of the public, the person who asked the FOI.

The fact that the FOI was signed off in this way supports my point it wasn't written by Cllr Gary Millar Deputy Mayor - the standard of the reply is very poor and sloppy.

If you read the annotation left by Mac LPL you can see a similarity in the writing.

Yours sincerely,

Audrey O'Keefe

Dear Information Requests,

can you please acknowledge my add on to my FOI internal review

Dear Information Requests,

1. You say Cllr Millar paid for the ticket - yet Cllr Millar openly states Steve paid for the ticket - so you are saying Cllr Millar lied to me - a member of the public. [ quote] [For the sake of accuracy it was actually Steve that paid for my flights due to this being a last minute arrangement and the £1313.60 he’s paid out will be reimbursed by Surabaya] After making enquiries to Labour Councillors they have never known or heard of a partner paying for their tickets for foreign travel - or any other venture
2. Who is Steve this has not been addressed.
3 To sign off in a letter in a foreign language and expect me a member of the public to google it for a translation is pure arrogance by Cllr Millar.
My FOI/internal review has not been responded to in an open and transparent way and I will be taking it to an outside agency.

Yours sincerely,

Audrey O'Keefe
