Alan Stanton,

Dear Mr McNulty,

Thanks for your email.

One of the reasons I make Freedom of Information Requests through the
website WhatDoTheyKnow.com is so the information is available publicly to
residents in my ward, in Haringey, and to anyone else in the wider world
who is affected or may be interested now or in the future. I see the
website as a highly useful repository of information and part of the
process of opening up decision-making to a wider public.

The Haringey Education Commission was a particularly important example of
the decision-making process which - in my view - needs this transparency.
We will have to agree to differ about the legality of the process which
led to its being appointed by Cllr Claire Kober without regard to any of
the usual checks and balances in the Council's constitution.

With regard to the technical problem, can I please suggest that it may
help solve this if you respond via the WhatDoTheyKnow website.  If the
size of the files is too large for this, then the website's technical
staff may be able to assist. In my experience organisations needing to
send and receive large files are using file transfer software such as
Dropbox or WeTransfer.

I hope this helps.
