Freedom of Information Request 807859.

 

Further to your recent request for information, I am pleased to respond,
with information prepared for me by our Carbon Reduction Programme
Manager. For your convenience I have pasted your original questions below,
with our responses attached. Please also see the attached PDF:

 

1)    Do you have a Climate Change Adaptation Strategy and/or Policy (or
similar)?  If so please attach.

Cheshire East Council does not have a climate change adaptation strategy
or policy as such. However, the Council has produced a Local Climate
Impacts Profile (LCLIP) report which is the first step towards identifying
the potential threats. Service Plans have been updated to include
awareness of risk assessment and business continuity planning. A copy of
the LCLIP is attached.

 

2)    Has this document been adopted by Council or Cabinet (or similar),
if so, when? 

The LCLIP was approved by the Council in 2010.

 

3)    Has a Councillor been assigned to champion this Strategy/Policy (or
similar), if so, who? 

N/A

 

4)    Is the strategy/policy (or similar) supported by an
action/programme/project plan? If so, please attach.

LCLIP attached.

 

5)    Is this plan delivering on time and to budget?
