I wish to make a freedom of information enquiry.

Would it be possible to provide data relating to the clearing period ending at the start of the following 2018/19, 2019/20, 2020/21, 2021/22, 2022/23, 2023/24 academic years in relation to the following questions:

-How many full time students were recruited via the clearing process?
-If all full time spots were filled before the end of the clearing period- please specify when the university confirmed that it would no longer accept any further full time students via that clearing period?
- At the end of the clearing period, how many full time student places remained unfulfilled?

Would it be possible to provide data relating to the clearing period
ending at the start of the following 2018/19, 2019/20, 2020/21, 2021/22,

1. How many full time students were recruited via the clearing process?

2. If all full time spots were filled before the end of the clearing
period- please specify when the university confirmed that it would no
longer accept any further full time students via that clearing period? The
University does not hold this information. This information is therefore
exempt from release under section 17 of FOISA – Information not held.

3. At the end of the clearing period, how many full time student places
remained unfulfilled? There are no defined targets set for the clearing
period and as such, the University does not hold this information. This
information is therefore exempt from release under section 17 of FOISA –

considers that disclosing these details would potentially lead to the
identification of individuals thus disclosing their personal data and
breaching UK data protection legislation. We are therefore applying the
exemption under Section 38(1)(b) FoI(S)A, Personal information to ensure
that there is no inappropriate release of personal data which would breach
the principles in Article 5(1) of the General Data Protection Regulation
and in section 34(1) of the Data Protection Act 2018.
