Cleansing Records for Silcox Road and surrounding green areas for last one year

Dear Bristol City Council,

Please provide the following information for Silcox Road (BS13), pedestrian paths and green spaces and playground in the immediate area.

1. A plan of the area showing who is responsible for clearing the litter in which area.

2. Cleansing schedule/regime for the areas around Silcox Road.

3. Actual cleansing records of the area for 2018.

4. Are there (or have there been during the last year) any health and safety considerations or any other factors that might have prevented the Council from keeping the pedestrian walks and green spaces around Silcox Road free of litter.

5. Bristol City Council's Codes of Practice on Litter and Refuse.

6. Details and Zoning map of Bristol for the Purpose of Litter and Refuse.

Our reply to your request is:  

 

Please provide the following information for Silcox Road (BS13),
pedestrian paths and green spaces and playground in the immediate area.

 

1.  A plan of the area showing who is responsible for clearing the litter
in which area.

 

Bristol Waste Company are responsible for cleansing blue and green
sections. The Council Caretaker services is responsible for the purple
area around Silcox Road; including paths, green spaces and around the
playground.

2. Cleansing schedule/regime for the areas around Silcox Road.

 

All blue and green sections are completed weekly (Thursdays) including
litter bins.  Caretaker services are responsible for cleansing as
required.

 

2.  Actual cleansing records of the area for 2018.

 

The council does not keep cleansing records for work completed.

 

3.  Are there (or have there been during the last year) any health and
safety considerations or any other factors that might have prevented the
Council from keeping the pedestrian walks and green spaces around Silcox
Road free of litter.

 

There have been no recorded health & safety incidents of the cleansing
staff in this area, and no exceptional h&s considerations exist for
carrying out the cleansing in this area.

 

5. Bristol City Council's Codes of Practice on Litter and Refuse.

 

See attached the councils code of practice on litter.

 

6. Details and Zoning map of Bristol for the Purpose of Litter and Refuse.

 

There does not exist a zoning map for the whole of Bristol.  Cleansing
occurs at differing frequencies across the city.
