I am currently enrolled in the standard MBBS-equivalent program at SEU, following my secondary education in the CBSE curriculum with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. Could you please confirm if this program meets the GMC’s criteria for acceptable overseas qualifications? Additionally, I would appreciate any information on the assessment process for graduates from SEU and whether any specific requirements apply to my situation.

Dear Mohammed Saqib,

Thank you for your request for information regarding the recognition of
medical qualifications from Georgian National University SEU. We have
considered your request in accordance with the Freedom of Information Act
2000 (FOIA).

The Registrations team have advised that Georgian National University SEU
is currently undergoing a new awarding body assessment.  The awarding body
has never been listed in our system and therefore must be assessed before
we will create an entry.  Until the assessment has been completed
graduates are not able to apply for registration in the UK.  The
assessment is ongoing so should be concluded in the next few months but
unfortunately further information can’t be provided as we don’t yet know
if it will be assessed as acceptable or not.
