Clarification about the IGCSE exams thresholds

Response to this request is long overdue. By law, under all circumstances, University of Cambridge should have responded by now (details). You can complain by requesting an internal review.

Dear University of Cambridge,
This year I will be taking IGCSE literature exam with 0486 exam code on May/June. I, my friends and our teacher understood that the grade boundaries for this course are not real. Let me give you an example, in your website, we see that thresholds for IGCSE literature (0486) are about 65-70 for A*. In fact, students need to get more than that range of marks in order to get even A. For example, last year, a student in our school received B grade, although that student got 66/100.
To conclude, as a learner, I want to know the exact thresholds in order to study and decide goals accordingly. The time left to IGCSE exam on May/June 2019 is not long at all. Therefore, it would be great for us to learn the “real” grades as soon as possible.

Yours faithfully,
Walter
