Clapham Park Road/Abbeville Road Bus Lane Data and Reviews

The request was partially successful.

Dear Lambeth Borough Council,

1. Please provide copies of measured bus travel times on routes heading South East on Clapham Park Road and turning left at the junction with Abbeville Road before the creation of a bus lane.

2. Please provide any data on the expected improvements in (1) that justified the creation of a bus lane at the junction of Clapham Park Road and Abbeville Road in 2003 and the decision to make it permanent in 2004.

3. Please provide copies of the data evaluating the benefit to buses of the bus lane on Clapham Park Road at the junction with Abbeville Road used at each regular review since its creation.

4. Please provide copies of all internal and commissioned analyses and reviews (or similar) of the effectiveness or enforceability or safety of all bus lanes in Lambeth for the last ten years (2005 to 2015).

5. Please provide copies of all internal and commissioned analyses and reviews (or similar) of the effectiveness, location, proportionality of all surveillance cameras operated by and on behalf of Lambeth Borough Council that enforce moving traffic, bus lane and parking contraventions for the last ten years (2005 to 2015).

6. Please provide the number of PCNs issued for 34J contravention of all bus lanes in Lambeth over the last 10 years (2005-2015), presented for each bus lane and each calendar year. For clarification, I would like the number of 34J contraventions broken down for each bus lane in 2005, and the same for 2006 and so on.

7. Please provide copies of all analyses and reviews conducted by or on behalf of Lambeth Borough Council of the causes of the exceptionally high number of 34J bus lane contraventions in relation to the bus lane on Clapham Park Road at the junction with Abbeville Road.

8. Please provide a breakdown of numbers of drivers issued with 34J contravention PCNs by the point of entry into the bus lane on Clapham Park Road at the junction with Abbeville Road. For clarification, I want to know how many drivers drove onto the bus lane at its beginning versus how many avoided the beginning of the bus lane but later moved into it in order to turn left at the junction.

9. Please provide a breakdown of the data at (8) above, by residence of the driver/owner of the car, at the level of county/local authority. If that is not possible, please provide the numbers of Lambeth residents who were issued with the same over this period.

Yours faithfully,

T. Robertson

Dear Lambeth Borough Council,

Please pass this on to the person who conducts Freedom of Information reviews.

I am writing to request an internal review of Lambeth Borough Council's handling of my FOI request 'Clapham Park Road/Abbeville Road Bus Lane Data and Reviews'.

I submitted a number of requests for information relating to the bus lane in Clapham Park Lane. However the reply you have provided me with doesn't answer ANY of the questions I asked, and appears to be a response to a completely different person. It's possible this is a simple administrate error that could be corrected very quickly.

A full history of my FOI request and all correspondence is available on the Internet at this address: https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/c...

Yours faithfully,

T Robertson
