Claimants accepted, terminated and rejected between the years 2016 and 2019 for UC or equivalent benefits

Currently waiting for a response from Department for Work and Pensions, they should respond promptly and normally no later than (details).

Dear Department for Work and Pensions,

I am writing to you under the Freedom of Information Act 2000. Please send me the following information:

- How many claimant applications for Universal Credit (UC) were rejected between the years 2016-2019?
- How many claimants had their benefits terminated between 2016-2019?
- How many claimant applications were granted UC between the 2016-2019?

I would like for the information provided to include the following benefits;
Housing Benefits
ESA
JSA
Child Tax Credit
Working Tax Credit
Income Support
As these have been merged together under the Universal Credit Scheme.

I would like the above information to be provided to me as electronic copies.

If this request is too wide or unclear, I would be grateful if you could contact me as I understand that under the Act, you are required to advise and assist requesters. If any of this information is already in the public domain, please can you direct me to it, with page references and URLs if necessary.

I understand that you are required to respond to my request within the 20 working days after you receive this letter. I would be grateful if you could confirm in writing that you have received this request.
