Dear Christopher,

Please can you confirm that the most recent available documentation relating to communication plans for the LASPO changes and CLA Gateway are from May 2012 and that there has been no review of how effective or successful the "Channel Strategy" was?

Yours sincerely,

Dan Wilks

Dear Mr Wilks,

As confirmed in the letter I sent dated 12 May 2014, the documents we released were the most up-to-date we hold on our central repository.

At present, Parliament's Justice Select Committee (JSC) is undertaking an inquiry into the effects of LASPO, so you may wish to visit www.parliament.uk to investigate the scope of their inquiry. The Ministry of Justice (MoJ) has, in line with good practice, committed to undertake a Post Implementation Review (PIR) of the LASPO legislation within 3-5 years of its implementation. Finally, the MoJ also undertaking an internal review of the CLA Gateway, honouring a commitment to Parliament, which is due to publish by March 2015.

I hope this clarifies things for you.

Yours sincerely,

Christopher Owens.
