Civil Engineering report on Hornsey Library listed building's suitability to take a solar panel on its RAAC roof.

We're waiting for Ms M Jennings to read recent responses and update the status.

Dear Haringey Borough Council,

Request for information concerning Civil Engineering report on Hornsey Library listed building's suitability to take a solar panel installation on its RAAC roof.

It is noted from Haringey Council's published committee reports to members that is has been aware of the Hornsey Library RAAC roof for many years.

It is noted that Haringey Council spent £2.7m with RIBA architects Curl la Tourelle Head on the refurbishment of Hornsey Library in 2020/21. https://www.ribaj.com/buildings/curl-la-...

It is assumed that a Civil Engineering report was obtained before Haringey Council decided to proceed with a solar panel installation on the RAAC roof of Hornsey Library.

It is noted that Hornsey Library is closed because the RAAC roof of Hornsey Library is a danger to residents and staff. https://www.hamhigh.co.uk/news/24203433....

Please provided all the documents that considered the plans to proceed with a solar panel installation on the RAAC roof of Hornsey Library. In particular provide a copy, if any, of the Civil Engineering report that confirmed that it was safe to proceed with a solar panel installtion of the RAAC roof of Hornsey Library.

Yours faithfully,

Ms M Jennings

Dear Ms M Jennings,

Re: Freedom of Information Act Request ref: LBH/15411724

Thank you for your request for information received on 16 May 2024, in
which you asked for the following:

• all the documents that considered the plans to proceed with a solar
panel installation on the RAAC roof of Hornsey Library.

I wanted to provide an update with respect of this request.  Unfortunately

report authors.  This has been requested, and we are awaiting their
response(s).

I apologise for the delay in providing the response.
