Dear Manchester City Council,
I am writing to request information under the Freedom of Information Act 2000. I am outlining my query as specifically as possible.
Please provide me with the following:
1. A detailed breakdown of the number (headcount and FTE) of traffic wardens, or 'civil enforcement officers' employed by Manchester City Council in each of the years 2008/09, 2009/10, 2010/11, 2011/12 and 2012/13.
2. The total cost incurred by the council in employing civil enforcement officers in each of the aforementioned years.
3. The total amount of fines collected (both the number issued and monetary value) by these officers by issuing penalty notices in each of the aforementioned years.
4. The number of complaints made against these officers in each of the aforementioned years and their outcomes.
5. The number of appeals made against penalty notices in each of the aforementioned years and their outcomes.
I am interested in any information held by you regarding my request. I understand that under the Act, I do not have to specify particular files or documents and that it is your department's responsibility to provide the information I require. If you need further clarification, please contact me by email.
I would like to receive the information in electronic copy.

Dear Manchester City Council,
Please can you update me on the progress of my recent FOI request.
To date, I have received no response to my request. As you know,
the Freedom of Information Act states:
"A public authority must comply with section 1(1) promptly and in
any event not later than the twentieth working day following the
date of receipt."
This deadline has now been missed, so I would appreciate a prompt
reply.
Yours faithfully,
James Walker
