Citizenship deprivation statistics

Response to this request is long overdue. By law, under all circumstances, Home Office should have responded by now (details). You can complain by requesting an internal review.

Dear Home Office,

I previously made a successful request for the number of cases of British citizenship deprivation. The previous request can be found here:

https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/c...

Can you please release updated figures for the number of citizenship deprivation cases in 2016 and 2017?

Yours faithfully,

Colin Yeo

Dear Home Office,

Please pass this on to the person who conducts Freedom of Information reviews.

I am writing to request an internal review of Home Office's handling of my FOI request 'Citizenship deprivation statistics'.

The statistics on the number of deprivation cases brought against British citizens have never previously been openly published other than through FOI requests or Parliamentary questions, as far as I am aware. I request a review into whether it is genuinely the case that this policy of non publication is going to change or whether the initial responder to my request mistakenly thought the deprivation numbers were already included in the various immigration statistics which are published, such as the quarterly statistics or the transparency data.

If the data is going to be published in future, I would be grateful of an indication of when and in what form.

A full history of my FOI request and all correspondence is available on the Internet at this address: https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/c...

Yours faithfully,

Colin Yeo
