Jenny Elliot,

Dear Clath

A selection of sample examination papers and mark schemes are freely
available to download from our [1]website. Further mark schemes and
examiner reports are available to order from our Publications department
on our Syllabus and Support Materials DVDs.

If you wish to make an order you will need to complete a Publications
Order Form and send it to us with the appropriate fee. The Publications
Catalogue and Order Form can be found [2]here.

This information is also accessible from your centre and any further
enquiries of this nature should be referred there. They will be able to
provide advice and guidance on all aspects of the examination process
including support for the examinations. Private candidates should contact
the examinations officer at the centre at which they will sit their exams.
The centre is best placed to offer an answer tailored to your particular
circumstances.

Please note that answers to many frequently asked questions can be found
on the [3]Help section of our website.

Formally, under the Freedom of information Act 2000 we should state that
we consider Section 21 Freedom of Information Act 2000 to apply in this
case because the information is accessible by other means.

If, after this, you have any further questions please direct them to our
customer services team at [4][email address] or +44 1223 553554
who would be happy to help.

Dear Ms Elliot,

The A-level subjects (9646, 9647, 9648 and 9740) which I requested for are the Singapore–Cambridge A-levels which are not part of the Syllabus and Support Material DVDs (which only contain the Cambridge AS and A levels, amidst other qualifications). They are also unavailable from the website. Also, my centre does not have the mark schemes and has been unwilling to release the examiner's reports. Since my centre does not have the mark schemes and is not obliged to release the examiner's reports, the information is not reasonably accessible and the exemption in Section 21 does not apply

However, it is to my understanding that these examinations are set and marked by Cambridge International Examinations (CIE) and so, the mark schemes and examiner's reports would be available from CIE. Hence, I would like to request for this information (the mark scheme and examiner's report for syllabus 9646, 9647, 9648 and 9740)

Yours sincerely,

Clath Gart

Jenny Elliot,

I hope I have given you a full explanation in response to your query however if you are dissatisfied with the handling of your request, you can ask for an internal review.
