Julie Durrant,

Dear Mr Grigore

I am replying to your FOI request regarding admissions to the BA law course. We have responded in respect of the cycles for admission in 2014, 2015 and 2016. We have an obligation to protect the personal information of applicants and have therefore presented the information you requested in a way which does not permit the identification of individuals. This is consistent with the exemption under Section 40(2) of the Act.

1. During the period in question we received applications from seven individuals who were studying for an International Baccalaureate Diploma. The predicted IB grades ranged from 42 to 45 points and the achieved grades ranged from 38 to 45, including bonus points.

2. Of the seven individuals interviewed, two received offers.

3. We do not hold information on countries of origin. The countries of residence of the applicants were as follows: AustraIia, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Poland, Singapore and UAE.

4. We do not hold schools information for all applicants, but the majority attended schools in their country of residence.

5. We do not hold information on Cambridge Law Test scores but information about the test can be found at http://ba.law.cam.ac.uk/assets/misc/Camb... and on the University Admissions website at http://www.undergraduate.study.cam.ac.uk...

6. Information relating to the interview scores is not held except for those who received offers.

7. The marking scheme used to assess the applicants is on a range from 1 to 10, where 10 is outstanding and 1 is poor.

Yours sincerely
