Dear Mr Dixon

In response to your Freedom of information request number 9198, in which
you asked the following questions

1.  Could I please receive the total expenditure by the council on hosting
Christmas light switch on events in the area, including decorations and
lights. Could I please receive the above for both 2019 and 2020 (if
applicable).

I can confirm that a search for the information has been completed.

1.  The Christmas decorations (inc. lights/tree) in Southend High Street
have been funded by the BID since 2013 and will continue to be funded by
the BID until at least Christmas 2022 (subject to agreement), therefore
the Council does not hold the information please redirect your question

If you are unhappy with the service you have received in relation to your
request and wish to request a review of our response, you should write to
the Knowledge and Information Manager, PO Box 6, Civic Centre, Victoria

outcome of your review, you can make a complaint under the Council’s
