children's social workers employed by the council.  Your request was
received by the Information Rights Team on 16 May 2019.  This is being

The information supplied may be used for domestic or journalistic

1.    The total number of Children's Social Workers employed permanently
by the Council as of the 29th April 2019?

 

Response: 175 – please note this is a combined figure for permanent
contracts in Children and Family Services with job titles 'social worker',
'senior social worker', 'social worker ASYE', 'practice manager',
'principal manager’.

 

2.    A breakdown by Nationality of the Children's Social Workers employed
permanently i.e. United Kingdom 100, Australian 36 etc?

 

Response: We do have a field on our system for Nationality but it is not
populated.  The field for Ethnic Origin is populated, and we have provided
this data below.

Response:  Stoke-on-Trent City Council does not have a sponsorship
license.
