Children's services Integrated IT System

john smith made this Freedom of Information request to Hampshire County Council

This request has been closed to new correspondence from the public body. Contact us if you think it ought be re-opened.

The request was successful.

Dear Hampshire County Council,

Back in 2012 I was told that the Council was tendering for a fully integrated IT system which would replace the ageing Northgate social care system and the Capita education management system and provide us with a state of the art, fully integrated social care & education IT system.

Since then I have seen an advertising puff from Capita talking about winning a tender for education management - but they were already our supplier!

Q1 : What happened with that tender process? Do we now have a new social care IT system and is it live?

Q2 : What additional education functionality did we gain as a result of the tender process?

Q3 : How much have we paid Capita to date?

Q4 : What is the lifetime cost of this contract?

Q5 : What was the monetary value of the Council's procurement effort? I will accept a reasonable estimate, as long as you explain the methodology

Yours faithfully,

John Smith
