Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002 (“The Act”)

We refer to your request dated 14/06/2020 03:10, for the following
information FOI: Children's & Families Services. 

Please advise what do you have to safeguard parents & children from having
their identity by a Social Worker.  Currently if you do not accept their
version of your history, they report you have no capacity to change.  Is
there an independent body who can check these cases, a person unbiased and
outwith government and government funding.

Parents have the opportunity to raise with the Social Worker, their Team
Manager or at the relevant forum, eg Looked After Child Review or
Children’s Hearing.  Otherwise, parents can follow Aberdeenshire Council’s
[1]Complaints Procedure and if unsatisfied with the result, they can
appeal to the [2]Scottish  Public Services Ombudsman

Please contact me as the officer responsible for responding to your
