Further to your recent information enquiry, we can advise as follows:

 

1. How many children aged 5 - 18 are registered as homeschooling on
Wirral? -  266

 

2. How many children aged 5-18 with an EHCP have no school named on their
plan? 

3. How many children aged 5-18 with an EHCP are currently out of education
due to permanent exclusion. 

4. How many complaints have Wirral Council received since March 2020 that
Provision is not being made properly in accordance with the child or
adults EHCP?

5. How many children are currently not attending a school named on their
EHCP?

 

In response to Q2-5, we must advise that the requested information is not
recorded or electronically extractable in the form requested.  A manual
exercise would need to be undertaken to examine individual records which
would take over 18.5 hours and as such, we rely upon S12 of the FOIA to
decline this part of your request.

 

6. How many children with an EHCP have had a qualified social worker
attend their annual review since January 2021  

The LA does not receive this information and we advise you re-direct this
to individual schools

 

7. I understand some of these requests may not be easy to count. Please
indicate how many children overall with or without an EHCP did not attend
school, so marked absent for any reason for the following months?
