I refer to your freedom of information request dated 11 May 2018. Shetland Islands Council's answers are as follows:-

1) A list of the residential units operated by your local authority.
In 2016 - 2017 the Local Authority held one Registration. This was for Grodians Childrens Home this includes a further 3 properties which were attached as a variation to the main property.

2)In 2016, how many children were living in these units in total in your local authority?
6 Long term accommodated young people
2 Short term/emergency placements

3) In 2017, how many children were living in these units in total in your local authority?
6 Long term accommodated young people
2 Short term/emergency placements

4)In 2016, how many times were children staying in these units reported missing to the police?
1 Occasion when young person reported as “missing”

5)In 2017, how many times were children staying in these units reported missing to police?
4 Occasions when children were reported as “missing”
