Scottish Government did not have the information requested.

Dear Sir or Madam,

My request, under the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act, relates to the "Review of Children Missing from Education (Scotland) Service: September 2006-April 2007" document which is published on the Scottish Government website, in particular to the following references.

A reference is made on page 9 of this document to "consultation and awareness raising events to discuss procedures and related issues" with "other agencies and organisations", including "Home Education bodies".

A further reference is made on page 9 to "consultations and meetings" held with other organisations, including "Home Education bodies".

Finally, a reference is made on page 23 to "CME(S) procedures, good practice guidance, liaison and referral arrangements and related issues", all said to have been agreed in 2005 following "consultation and collaboration with local authorities and organisations", including "Home Education bodies".

Please confirm which Home Education bodies were consulted prior to the publication of this document and provide details, including dates and any notes, of each of the consultations, awareness raising events and meetings at which these Home Education bodies were represented.

Thank you in anticipation of your assistance.

Yours faithfully,

A White

Dear Laura Meikle,

Unfortunately, the email address you provided did not display correctly.

Meanwhile, having taken further advice on this matter, it is my understanding that the Scottish Government, having commissioned this independent report, is still responsible as a public body for responding to FOI requests relating to the contents of the report.

Perhaps you would now be good enough to elicit the information I requested from the report's author and provide me with a response on behalf of the Scottish Government, which is the public body responsible for the report's publication.

If you are unable to do so, may I ask for the matter to be internally reviewed as soon as possible.

Yours faithfully,

A White

Dear Sir or Madam,

I refer to my correspondence of 24 and 26 August and am still awaiting a response regarding the internal review I requested.

Can you please indicate whether or not the Scottish Government plans to supply the information requested following internal review since the report was published by the Scottish Government and not the independent consultant?

Yours faithfully,

A White
