Our Response
1.  How much money has the Trust spent on Legal fees so far with regards to
the Charlie Gard case?
Up to and including 22.08.2017, the legal fees (including court fees and
Barrister/Counsel fees) incurred by the Trust total £205,225.00 (including
VAT).

2. Could you please supply me with the Trusts practice Guidance regarding
Children that are being cared for on a ventilator?
The Trust does not have a practice guidance regarding children that are
being cared for on a ventilator.

3.  Can you please supply me with any legal or practice guidance relating to
the Length of time a child can be looked after on a ventilator and any guidance
as to any decisions made regarding stopping life support and how that
decision is made?
The Trust does not hold any legal guidance relating to the length of time
that a child can be looked after on a ventilator and therefore is unable to
answer this part of your request.

The Trust follows guidance published from 2015 by the Royal College of
Paediatrics and Child Health (RCPCH).  There is no known guidance as
to how long a child can be looked after on ventilation as this would be
reviewed on an individual case basis.

4. Can you please inform me if there has been any section 37 or 47 of children
act investigation being made with reference to this case?
