Freedom of Information Requests, Tavistock and Portman NHS Foundation Trust

Dear M B Floyd

Your request for information below dated 28 October 2020 has been handled
under the Freedom of Information Act. We shall answer the questions in the
table below:

  2014-15 2015-16 2016-17 2017-18 2018-19 2019-20 2020-21
How many 141 185 228 255 260 234 236
students
applied?
How many 12 12 14 14 14 14 (plus 1 16
students were returning
accepted? intermitter)
How many
self-funded
students
applied?
How many 0 0 2 1 1 1 0
self-funded
students were
accepted?

The Trust does not have a separate self-funded application route. The
number of self-funded places that could be offered is agreed with the SEEL
executive committee each year. The application route has been the same
route as the national funded programme through the AEP. Students all apply
to the funded course; when we make our offers, we offer all our funded
places. When funded places are full, those who are above the scoring
threshold have been offered the opportunity to self-fund, where there are
spaces available.

I hope that you are satisfied with this response. If you are dissatisfied
please write to us to request us to carry out an internal review of our
handling of your request. You can request a review by emailing us at
[1][Tavistock and Portman NHS Foundation Trust request email]. Your review will be carried out by a senior
officer within the Trust who has not been involved in this response. If
you remain dissatisfied following completion of our internal review, you
have a right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at

or visit

Yours sincerely,
