Child abuse complaints catholic maintained schools
Dear Council for Catholic Maintained Schools (Northern Ireland),
Please could you state how many complaints have been received about child abuse from 2000- the present under the FOI Acts
Yours faithfully,
rebecca hemsley
Good afternoon Ms Hemsley
Thank you for your enquiry dated 1 October 2013.
It would be helpful if you could narrow down precisely the information you seek.
It might help you to know that CCMS is the Employing Authority for teachers in Catholic Maintained schools and that we would not hold general information not connected to the employment of these teachers.
Regards

Thank you for your reply. Taking into account your advice, how many complaints of child abuse have been made against those teachers?
Yours sincerely,
rebecca hemsley
Dear Alison Russell,
I have not had a prompt response, nor one within 20 working days to my revised request.
Please could you repl within 48 hours, otherwise I have no option but to go for an internal review

Dear Alison Russell,
Thank you for your reply.
Please could you detail as regards those cases-
How many were physical assault and how many sexual assault?
The year each one happened in?
How many individuals were complained about?
Whether the individuals were subject to internal discipline from the school or yourselves and what the result was, and whether they resigned?
May I have a copy of the child protection protocol?
How many schools were these cases at?
How many schools does the Council cover?
Yours sincerely,
rebecca hemsley
