Chief Fire Officer

The request was partially successful.

Dear Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service,

Freedom of Information Act 2000

I note from recent publications that there was a vacancy for the position of Chief Fire Officer of Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Authority for which a company was engaged to assist in filling the position.

The following request for information is made under the the Freedom of Information Act 2000.

- it is noted that one of the two Directors of the company employed to seek the replacement of the Chief Fire Officer is a previous Chief Fire Officer of Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service.
- Was the company or person engaged subject to a tender process for fulfilling the task? If so?
- when and where was the tender advertised for the contract assisting in the process for the replacement of Chief Fire Officer?
- what is the value of the above contact?
- can you confirm the Fire and Rescue Authority policy regarding the declaration of Freemason membership in letting contracts?

I look forward to your reply.

Yours faithfully,

Iain Donald
