Dear Merseyside Police,

Please provide me with the following:

A) how many police officers/police staff are employed to chauffeur the Chief Constable and any other Chief and/or Senior Officer. Please indicate which are Constables and which are staff.

B) the salary of the above and how much, if any, overtime was claimed and paid for such staff.

C) how many vehicles are provided to officers above the rank of Ch/Insp and the limitations on such vehicles (use for work only etc).

D) The make, model and cost of the above.

E) who's vehicle(s) if any are installed with sirens and blue light instruments.

Thank you for your application for information concerning

Chief Constable and any other Chief and/or Senior Officer. Please indicate

E) who's vehicle(s) if any are installed with sirens and blue light
instruments.

 

 

.  This will be dealt with under the terms of the Freedom of Information
Act 2000.

 

Your request will now be considered and you will receive a response within
the statutory timescale of 20 working days as defined by the Act, subject
to the information not being exempt nor containing a reference to a third
party.  In the event that we are not able to achieve this deadline you
will be informed at the earliest opportunity and given a revised
time-scale.

 

There may be a fee payable for the retrieval, collation and provision of
the information you have requested.  If this is the case you will be
informed and the 20 working day timescale will be suspended until we
receive payment from you.

 

Some requests may also require either full or partial transfer to another
public authority in order to answer your query in the fullest possible
way.  Again, you will be informed if this is the case.

I write with reference to the Freedom of Information request which you recently submitted to Merseyside Police (ref SM78/14 ) and which asked for the following:

With regard to question" B "you have not given a time period for overtime payments
