Dear Durham Constabulary,

Your Chief Constable Jo Farrell whilst a Deputy Chief Constable was a member of a Police Appeal Tribunal in respect of ex PC Katie Barratt Northumbria Police.

The Tribunal reinstated the racist officer who had been dismissed and wished her well in her career. The Appeal Court upheld the original dismissal.

Can you please provide the following :

1) How was Jo Farrell's competency assessed for the role of Chief Constable for race and diversity ?

2) What was her PDR assesment as DCC when she made this decison in respect of race and diversity ?

3) Has Farrell ever been cited in race related complaints from the public, her colleagues including grievances and ET proceedings ?

4) Please provide any press releases or internal reports referencing Farrell's involvement in the Police Appeal Tribunal.
