We're waiting for John Booth to read a recent response and update the status.

Dear Greenwich Borough Council,

We are researching the costs to your organisation for completing chewing gum removal, we have 5 simple questions.

*If you do not hold separate analytics for gum removal alone, please report on street deep cleaning/cleansing/power washing (not sweeping).

1. What primary method of removal do you use for *chewing gum removal:
a. High pressure water lancing
b. Chemicals/solvents
c. High pressure steam
d. Other (please state)

2. What was the cost of *chewing gum removal (whether carried out in house or contracted out) in:
a. 2017?
b. 2018?
c 2019?

3. Do you contract out your *chewing gum removal services or is us completed all in house?

4. If outsourced, what is the renewal date of the cleaning contract?

5. Please supply the name and contact details for the department responsible for managing this contract.

Answer: High pressure steam

 

2. What was the cost of *chewing gum removal (whether carried out in house

We do not remove chewing gum as a bespoke cleansing activity in the
borough. We only remove it as part of our high street and town centre jet
washing programme, therefore cannot provide a cost for this specific
activity

 

3. Do you contract out your *chewing gum removal services or is us
completed all in house?

 

In-house as part of our jet washing programme.

 

4. If outsourced, what is the renewal date of the cleaning contract?

 

N/A

 

5. Please supply the name and contact details for the department
