Changing Respite Units into Residential Homes
Dear Southern Health and Social Care Trust (Northern Ireland),
Why has the SHSCT approached some respite homes in the SHSCT area asking them to take Adults with a Learning Disability in full time and these units are now being used as Residential Units? Why is the SHSCT now taking Clients with a Learning Disability from the Western Trust and putting them into SHSCT Respite/Residential units?
Have Carers been consulted with these Changes around re-registration of Respite Units into Residential Homes for people who are not in the SHSCT area?
Yours faithfully,
Tracey Gilliland
