Dear Ramzy

FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT 2000 - INFORMATION REQUEST

Your request for information has now been considered and I am pleased to
provide you with the following and attached information.

I would like to know how the fire and rescue service has changed since
2015.

As such, I would like to know the number of fire stations operated by the
fire and rescue service in the years 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2019.

15 operational stations each year 2015-2019 inclusive (to include
temporary function during Barnard Castle replacement on existing site)

I would also like a list of the fire stations which closed down each year
and a list of the fire stations which opened each year in 2015, 2016,
2017, 2018 and 2019.

There are only 2 variations within this time period. During 2015 a
replacement for Durham Fire Station was constructed on Lanchester Road and
the old station on Framwellgate Moor was closed on completion of the
new-build. During 2016-2017 Barnard Castle Fire Station was demolished and
the new Quad Service Station built on the existing site. During
construction, the Service operated from an alternative site within Barnard
Castle.

Finally, I would like to know the number of full-time and part-time staff
employed by the fire and rescue service in each of the years 2015, 2016,
2017, 2018 and 2019 – see attached – this includes operational and
corporate staff
