Changes to the fire and rescue service since 2015

To whom it may concern,

I am writing to make an open government request for all the information to which I am entitled under the Freedom of Information Act 2000. In order to assist you with this request, I am outlining my enquiry as specifically as possible. If however this request is too wide or unclear, I would be grateful if you would contact me as I understand that under the Act, you are required to advise and assist requesters.

I would like to know how the fire and rescue service has changed since 2015.

As such, I would like to know the number of fire stations operated by the fire and rescue service in the years 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2019.

I would also like a list of the fire stations which closed down each year and a list of the fire stations which opened each year in 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2019.

Finally, I would like to know the number of full-time and part-time staff employed by the fire and rescue service in each of the years 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2019.

I understand that under the Act, I should be entitled to a response within 20 working days. I would be grateful if you would confirm in writing that you have received this request.

BFRS have 20 fire stations and this has been a constant over the years

During that period no fire station closed down or opened.

 

I will verify the number of full-time and part-time staff employed by BFRS
in each of the years 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2019. – Please advise if
you would like temporary and contract staff included in these numbers.

lapsed for the request to be closed.

 

Once the request is closed only anonymised data will be retained as this
