Dear Council of the Isles of Scilly,

1) How many children aged 0-18 with a learning disability were
known to social services in a) 2009/10, b) 2010/11 and c) 2011/12? WE ARE A VERY SMALL UNITARY LOCAL AUTHORITY AND AS SUCH HAVE VERY FEW CHILDREN KNOWN TO OUR SERVICE- TO GIVE NUMBERS COULD POTENTIALLY MAKE THEM IDENTIFIABLE. WHAT I CAN SAY IS THAT THE NUMBERS KNOWN TO OUR SERVICE HAVE INCREASED STEADILY OVER THE YEARS YOU HAVE FOCUSED ON

2) How many children aged 0-18 with a learning disability attended

WHAT I CAN SAY IS THAT THE NUMBERS KNOWN TO OUR SERVICE HAVE INCREASED STEADILY OVER THE YEARS YOU HAVE FOCUSED ON, AND ALSO AS SUCH THE NUMBERS OF CHILDREN WITH LEARNING DIFFICULTIES ACCESSING OUR SHORT BREAKS SERVICES HAS INCREASED STEADILY TOO

and what is your projection for short breaks service use in
2012/13? I WOULD ANTICIPATE A SMALL INCREASE IN THE NUMBERS USING OUR SERVICE

paragraph 5 (‘Short breaks services statement’) of the ‘Breaks for
Carers of Disabled Children Regulations 2011’? YES

4) If you have published a short breaks services statement in
