Changes to Number on Shared Ownership Register and of Homes Sold

The request was successful.

Dear Wandsworth Borough Council,

I am making this request because I wanted to get an idea of how well the borough’s shared ownership approach was tackling the “forever renting” state that many people find themselves in.

Could you please tell me:-

• The number of Wandsworth residents on the “Shared Ownership” register at 1/4/15
• The number of Wandsworth residents who found a home within the 311 shared ownership homes sold across Wandsworth in 2015/16
• The number of Wandsworth residents on the “Shared Ownership register at 1/4/16
• The number of Wandsworth residents who found a home within the 303 shared ownership homes sold across Wandsworth in 2016/17
• The number of Wandsworth residents on the “Shared Ownership” register at 31/3/17

Yours faithfully,

Duncan Lyons

NOTE: Any shared ownership housing delivered in Wandsworth requires a
marketing plan to be agreed with the council which gives priority to those
households on the councils home ownership list. It is only when the
exclusive marketing prioritising Wandsworth residents and workers has
ended that the council will consider wider marketing of shared ownership
housing (on demonstration of the efforts made to sell to the council’s
priority groups as set out in the annual affordable3 housing update and on
our website).
