Francesco Bonfanti

Dear South Ayrshire Council,

Please treat this as a Freedom of Information request.

I would like information on the number of homes in your local authority area that currently meet the new fire and smoke alarm standards that are set to change from February 2022, as set out on https://www.gov.scot/publications/fire-a... .

I would like to know:
- how many homes currently have interlinked alarm systems
- how many homes do not
- how much (generally) it will cost a homeowner to get their system up to the new standard

This may include, but should not be limited to, meeting minutes and other materials such as power point presentations considered by meeting participants, reports and data from spreadsheets.

I am interested in any relevant data, ideally the most up to date information you have as of the date of this request, 5 October 2021.

I would prefer to receive information in a machine readable format, such as CSV files for data.

I look forward to hearing from you in due course.

Yours faithfully,

Francesco Bonfanti
