Change My Discharge

The request was successful.

Dear Ministry of Defence,

Can you tell me how to go about changing the way I was discharged from the Army?

From 1991-1994 I was listed as medically unfit as I underwent numerous operations on my left knee after dislocating the patella on the ranges at the Wrekin. These surgeries resulted in the left patella being removed in 1994. Further on from there in 2012 I had to have my left leg amputated above the knee as a direct result to all the damage caused to the knee from 1991.

When I was discharged from the military my service was terminated. I was not medically discharged. I genuinely feel this was unjust and extremely damaging to both my career prospects as well as my mental wellbeing. I have been informed by the veterans agency that I can appeal my discharge and get this changed.

Please provide information so I know the process and the paperwork to carry this out. Thank you for your time, help and support.

Yours faithfully,

Kevin Davis
