Dear Department of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs (Northern Ireland),
I understand that there has recently been a change in policy in relation to the use of electrical hook up points provided at Castlewellan Forest Park and that tent users are no longer allowed to make bookings to avail of same.
I believe this to be potentially discriminatory practice.
Please provide me with a copy of the rationle for this decision including any Equality Impact Assessments and Health and Safety Risk Assessments which were carried out in advance of and in relation specifically to this decision. Please also provide by return aggregate details suitably anonymised of past incidence of reported accidents or injuries at the Castlewellan Forest Park campsite which were directly attributable to tent owners availing of the electrical hook ups vis-à-vis those attributable to caravan / motorhome users availing of the electrical hook ups at that site.
Accident / incident reports covering the last seven years will suffice for the purpose of this enquiry.
Many thanks in advance
Thank you for your acknowledgement.
