you have requested.

I can confirm that Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Service does hold the
information.

In response to your questions listed below, I can confirm:

for managing CCTV and the Data. Who is responsible for purchasing CCTV and
Data Storage of CCTV.

I also seek answers to the following questions:

How many cameras do you manage today More than 100? Or less than 100? Is
that growing?

More than 100 and likely to increase.

How do you store and manage your video today? (Network Video Recorders?
Enterprise Storage?) Has your company ever lost video, or experienced
poor-quality playback of video files?

Images are stored on hard drive and over written once hard drive becomes
full. The only experience of poor quality was due to weather conditions.

How critical is video to your company? What is the impact of not being
able to access video or record video?

While not critical, video footage provides security for property and
staff, not being able to access or record video would not have a
significant impact.

When was the last time you refreshed your surveillance storage hardware?

Hardware is refreshed and upgraded as it fails or becomes uneconomical to
repair.

Do you have an upgrade/refresh date? If so when?

We do not have any dates identified for an upgrade or refresh.

What is your budget for the refresh?

Budget is allocated from a centralised facilities repair and maintenance
budget, there is no specific identified budget for CCTV.

In relation to CCTV on appliances –

Name(s) of person telephone number and email address of person responsible
for managing CCTV and the Data. Who is responsible for purchasing CCTV and

that growing?

More than 100, which is likely to increase.

How do you store and manage your video today? (Network Video Recorders?
Enterprise Storage?) Has your company ever lost video, or experienced
poor-quality playback of video files?

Video is stored on local hard drive, if requested footage is transferred
to network file storage where it is archived; this is then backed up once
a week.

We have lost footage on a few occasions for different reasons.

How critical is video to your company? What is the impact of not being
able to access video or record video?

While not critical, video footage provides evidence to support Fire,
Police and event investigations.  It also provides evidence in support of
insurance claims or allegations made against the Service involving our
vehicles.

Not being able to access or record video would not have a significant
impact.

Do you have an upgrade/refresh date? If so when?

During 2018/19, there is a plan to update the CCTV

What is your budget for the refresh?
