Dear Nabeel Ahmad

Thank you for your email received by Transport for London (TfL) on 9 July
2015 asking for information about CCTV footage.

Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of
the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy.
Unfortunately we do not hold the information you require.

CCTV recordings made on London’s buses are the responsibility of the Bus
Operating Company that runs that particular service. TfL does not hold the
recordings or have any responsibility for providing access to them or
their retention period. Therefore, you would need to refer your request to
the operator.

Under the Data Protection Act 1998, bus operators are data controllers in
their own right for CCTV from the bus services they operate and are
responsible for responding to requests from data subjects for access to
the recordings.

Please see the attached information sheet for details of your right to
appeal.
