CCTV cameras on private dwellings
Dear Medway Council,
Please will you confirm the position with regard to a homeowner erecting CCTV on their private dwelling?
For example:-
(1) Are all erections of CCTV cameras on private dwellings considered under Schedule 2, Part 2, Class F of the * Town and Country Planning (General Permitted Development) Order and therefore subject to the 10 metre rule?
(2) Is there ever a situation when CCTV erected on a private dwelling would be subject to Schedule 2, Part 1, Class A (of the same * 2015 Order mentioned above) instead of Schedule 2, Part 2, Class F?
(3) Is it ever the case whereby CCTV cameras erected on a private dwelling would not be subject of Schedule 2, Part 2, Class F if they were not of a particular size? When I mean is, is there a rule stating that a CCTV Camera (or cameras) must be of a certain size (and not smaller) for them to be considered under Schedule 2, Part 2, Class F of the * 2015 Order mentioned in paragraph (1) above?
Thanking you in anticipation of your kind replies.
Yours faithfully,
Mrs W Wilson
