Thank you for your request for information received on 29^th November
2021.  We have considered your request and enclose the following
information:

1. The total number of CCTV cameras currently operated by the council

The public CCTV system consists of 175 cameras

NB this figure does not include camera systems in schools, depots, etc.

2. The total amount spent on the installation and maintenance of CCTV
cameras in the 2020 calendar year

£50,361 was spent on the installation and maintenance of the public CCTV
system

We supply this information based on your original request.  If this is not
what you wanted or if you feel we have not fully understood your request
