Thank you for your request received on 29th November 2021 in which you
asked for the following information from Lancaster City Council:

 1. The total number of CCTV cameras currently operated by the council 2.
The total amount spent on the installation and maintenance of CCTV
cameras in the 2020 calendar year

Your request has been handled under the Freedom of Information Act 2000
(FOIA).

Response

The council currently operates 225 CCTV Cameras. In the 2020 Calendar
year, we have spent £7500 on maintenance. Unfortunately, we are unable to
confirm installation costs specifically for CCTV as the Purchase Order
covers a number of installations.
