Caversham Park
Dear British Broadcasting Corporation,
Monitoring and Radio Berkshire vacated Caversham Park in 2018. Since that time the site appears to be unused and mothballed. It is a listed building so one assumes an obligation to maintain it in good order.
Would you please tell me:
1. How much is upkeep of the site costing the BBC?
2. What does the BBC plan to do with Caversham Park? Is it still trying to sell, or will it make use of the site as part of its stated intent to move more staff out of central London?
Yours faithfully,
Spencer Count

Dear British Broadcasting Corporation,
Please pass this on to the person who conducts Freedom of Information reviews.
I am writing to request an internal review of British Broadcasting Corporation's handling of my FOI request 'Caversham Park'.
Firstly, thank you for the reply to part 2 of my request.
As regards part 1, I wish to know how much it is costing to maintain the unused building and grounds. Your reply says it is all part of the contract and there is no separate cost to the BBC. There is a skeleton staff at the building, utilities and services bills have to be paid, the building kept secure, the grounds kept in good order, and so forth. It is a large site and I doubt the contractor is running it for free. There is a cost, which I'm sure can be calculated within the contract. Not necessarily to the last penny but as a ball park figure. Can we have another go at this one please.
A full history of my FOI request and all correspondence is available on the Internet at this address: https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/c...
Yours faithfully,
Spencer Count
