Dear FOI Office,

Dear Glasgow University,

You requested clarification as follows:

1) ‘please provide me with the following in relation to academic and academic related
(including management and professional) staff’.

- the University is interpreting ‘academic-related’ to mean any staff at grade 6 or above
in the ‘Management, Professional and Administration’ job family as well as any other
staff at a more senior grade (including SMG). You can see more details about job
families here http://www.gla.ac.uk/media/media_166899_.... Can you confirm if this
interpretation is correct?

Response – I confirm this interpretation is correct

2) Regarding question 3. ‘number of compulsory redundancies’

- do you wish the University to include in its response any staff who were on fixed-term
funding who were subsequently made redundant when that funding ended?

Response – No request for fixed-term staff who are time-limited de facto. Date relating to ‘permanent staff’ only is requested.

Yours sincerely,

M. MacLean
