1. Can a non catholic teacher be employed in a catholic school - Yes
2. Can a catholic teacher be employed in a non catholic school - Yes
To teach in a Scottish School, you must be registered with the General
Teaching Council for Scotland and full details of conditions of
registration can be found at: [1]http://www.gtcs.org.uk/ . To be employed
in a catholic school, a teacher needs to seek the approval of the Catholic
Church but there should be no presumption that the applicant requires to
